If you have the subscription version of Excel, check out the Insert tab – you have Icons!

In the Insert tab, the Icons button opens the Insert Icons dialog.

This lists all the icons in categories.

The beauty of icons is that you can control the colours better than simply inserting an image from the web.

They say a zebra can’t change its stripes, well in Excel it can – shout out to Seth Godin’s Purple Cow.

You can use icons for hyperlinking (Link) or for Assigning a macro – simply right click the icon.
